Zoo-palooza/Elephants Galore (Mar 2015)

Alton's class had a school field trip to the Wildlife World Zoo on March 12th. They let me bring Kinley, so it worked out great. We actually got to walk around with my sister, Kim (who teaches at his his school). It was pretty fun, a little hot and flew by really fast!
Alton riding the gondola ride with Aunt Kim.
Kinley and I trying to get a selfie on the ride.
It was pretty cool to see these kangaroos with babies in their pouches.

We went right over the train. Choo-choo!
Another kangaroo with her baby. So amazing!
Kinley loved feeding the giraffes.
That is one LONGGGGGG tongue!
Alton got to go down the log ride with his cousin, Ashlynn, and her friend.

A few days later, Kailyn and I had a little date to the zoo. We went to have lunch with the elephants. It was so fun to watch her as she got up close to them (of course they were always behind the cage).  Her affection for elephants is truly amazing!
Here we are just waiting to back back to have lunch. She wore her elephant outfit for the occasion.
Getting to feed the elephant.
This was truly a highlight for her. They are these biscuit things.
One of the other mischievous elephants kept trying to squirt us with water.
This was inside their cleaning/treatment room. They get baths/shots/... In this room.
This was were they sleep and make their "elephant angel" marks.  It was so fun just being with her.  She is a sweet, beautiful daughter!

She came up to me one Sunday and said that her elephant beanie boos, both names Peanut, were 1yo today and asked if we could have a party for them.  So, we made brownies, brought out the candles and had a full fledged singing celebration. They sure keep our life full of laughter and joy! Never in my wildest dreams would I had thought that I would be throwing a birthday party for a stuffed animal!

This is what she bought with her Easter money from Grandma and Grandpa Mullin.

A couple of weeks ago, she and I also got to go on a special date to see Cinderella.

The theatre was pretty cool because it had these reclining seats.  They think of everything these days!

Here is one of Kailyn's elephant stories. She got this cute wooden elephant in the mail from Grandma Mullin's neighbor in Texas.

This is Kailyn's Flat Stanley. He got to go to Texasfor two whole weeks. Lucky duck!

Here is her Spring School picture (1st grade-age 6yo).  Love this girl of mine!
