Happy ? Birthday to Me (Jan 2015)

This year I turned the ripe ole age of 38. My parents led Kim (my sister's birthday is a week after mine) and I on a wild scavenger hunt.  It first started with us having to go out and get us outfits for a double date with our husbands. Once we  proved to her that we had our outfits, mom released the first clue. 

This led us to the edge of Mesa near our home. There was nothing here, and I mean nothing, except a bunch of thorns.

Then she gave us a clue that led us to our good friends, the Vanderwalkers, and we dug in their yard only to find nothing but a workout from shoveling. Then we were led to get ice cream from Golden Spoon and finally we found ourselves in our own yard. We found a box under a rock in our back yard. So crazy. In the box was cash for our double birthday day.  My parents are so fun!

We finally got to go on our date to a steak house

and then to Jesterz improve.

 It was a great night! Happy birthday to us!!!

The kids and Steven also took me to Amazing Jakes on my actual birthday.

I got a set of earrings from each one.

And even some chocolate. Yum!

And beautiful flowers from my sweetheart!

I also got a new car for Christmas/birthday/necessity (Rosie, our other car literally died).  It was truly a sad and happy time (mixed emotions)

One final picture. We got to go to the temple with Steven's brother Brian and his wife, Danielle.  Such a wonderful place to be and step away from the worldly things all around.
