Random fun pictures (Summer 2013)

Kinley loves baths and decided one evening to get in with clothes and all. She is such a hoot!
One early summer morning we headed over to the botanical gardens. It got pretty hot quick, but we still got to see some cool plants and big lizards.
One late afternoon, a monsoon storm started coming in so naturally the kids had to go outside and feels it's strength. The wind was pretty amazing!
I rolled over in bed one Saturday morning and this is what I saw. Nice head band little girl!
We have a reward system that we do with the kids and it has taken them almost a year to get the chosen gifts with their tickets. They were so proud of themselves.
Race car for Altee boy!
Legos for Hunter, of course!
Sleeping Beauty doll for Kailyn!

Trip to the school playground as we wait for grandma to arrive. This was one of Kinley's first times on a big kid swing by herself. She was so proud and excited!
Hurry up grandma, we are waiting!

Putt-Putt Golf/Pleasure Pier

We played hard on our only full day in Galveston. After playing at the beach for hours, we got a little cleaned up and headed over to play a little golf. The course was super fun and the kids were always one step ahead of us.
This was a really cool mushroom hole. The kids loved running down and around this one.
Our little golfer boy!
They wanted to take this picture for daddy!
Fun cave we got to go through!
This is how you are supposed to play this hole.
This is what really happened. Only the Richardson kids. Oh to see life thru their eyes! Never a dull moment.

After golf, we walked to a shell shop and Grandma got the kids each a gift to remember their beach trip. Alton chose a big, cool white shell that he could hear this ocean in, Kailyn chose a stuffed mermaid doll, and Hunter chose a container of real shark teeth.
Love Kailyn's face.
Then we walked over to Bubba Gumps restaurant for dinner. Had to get us some yummy seafood!
These pictures were taking while we were waiting in line. Attack of the aliens.
Where did Alton go?
After dinner, we headed over to Pleasure Pier (a new amusement park out over the water. Pretty amazing!).
This Frog Jumper ride was one of their favorites. It lifted them high up in the air and then bounced them up and down.
Of course, they had to ride the carousel.
Then they found these fun little cars that went around and around in a circle. Talk about making me dizzy!
Couldn't pay me a million bucks to get on the Teacup ride. No way, no sir-ee
Kinley gets spoiled by grandma!
How did I end up on this? A poor little random, stranger boy couldn't get on the ride without an adult, so guess where I ended up?!? This was the only car left. Just my luck!
Too funny. This picture definitely fits his personality!
Riding the huge ferris wheel out over the ocean. Very fun and beautiful!
Found these fun bumper cars to ride in our way out of the park. They rode this like 10 times, at least!
Kailyn trying to figure out how this thing works.

The Ocean Star

When we were on top if the Ferris wheel Hunter kept begging me to rent a boat and ride 'em out to one of the off shore oil rigs. He must think we own a money tree or something! But, while at the top of the Ferris wheel, we could see that there was one of the rigs dry docked on the other side of the island, so the next morning we headed over to it so be could see one close up. To our surprise, not only could he see it close up, we could go inside for a tour. How cool! Grandma got them some hard hats and we headed in.
Getting instructions on the layout of the rig.
Hunter was fascinated by all of the model boats. Here's one!
And another!
Looking out how the oil is pumped from the ocean floor. Very cool!
Whatsilly kids!
Out on the deck.
US Coast Guard helicopter flies over our head. Wow!
This is how we role!
Being goofy. Another model boat for Hunter!
And yet another!
Cruise ship getting ready to depart. Someday!!!!
Fun magnetic board.
They were hired on the spot!
Alton's their commander.
Cool helicopter.
That was quite a fun tour! Now off to our next adventure.
The ferry boat ride across to Bolivar.
I used to go fishing and crabbing here as a little girl. Fun to be back and show the kids. Not sure what they will remember. We got to feed the seagulls and dolphins from the back of the boat. Super neat!
