Easter 2016

Easter was filled with many Easter Egg Hunts, yummy candy, dying eggs, fun family time and dinner with the missionaries.
Easter egg hunt with friends from church on Good Friday.
Checking out their loot.
Trying to dye Easter eggs. So messy, but so fun (for the kids). Smiles!
Our finished products!
Burying our jelly beans (gotta love the crazy faces). We sure hope they grow into lollipops by the morning!
Beautiful Easter morning!
Family picture taken just before church. I am so grateful that because of Christ I can be with my family forever.
We had a small family hunt just for the kids while dinner was cooking.

Steven hid one of the golden eggs on top of the monkey bars. Hunter had fun trying to get it down!
She's so close to reaching the egg! Smiles!!!
The hunt was a success. Great memories!
Alton sneaking a piece of candy from his basket.  He is my candy man!
The kids were hard at work creating their own bird houses. It entertained them for hours (we loved it).  Plus we have new colorful, artsy things in our yard!
Beautiful Kailyn!
Silly girl Kinley!
Father and son hard at work putting it together.
Waiting for the glue today. Patience is a virtue!
Hunter's finished bird house.
It was pretty neat to see how different they were.
I'm so glad to know that we are each different and unique in our own ways. It's amazing that think how God knows us all, individually.  I'm so grateful for our Savior and for making the Atonement possible for each one of us.  I look forward to seeing Him one day and being embraced in His arms.

Phoenix Half Marathon- Feb 2016

Last weekend (Feb 27th) I got the opportunity to run my little heart out in the Phoenix Half Marathon. It was a perfect morning and I got to start with one of our good neighbors, Kristin Rogers.  She ran the Boston Marathon several years ago. So awesome!  My average pace during training had been about a 9 min mile, but once we started the race, I couldn't tell where I was in my pacing. On training, I never new my pace until the end of the run, hence I didn't know actual pace during the race. Anyhow, it turned out to be one of my fastest races yet! So cool!!!
Pre-race picture.

Middle of race pictures.
Crossing the finish line! Yew-haw!!!

Here is what my watch showed after the run!
Here is my official posted time. I have never run an 8:24 pace in a race!
