Our 11th Anniversary- 12/17/15

Thursday was Our 11th wedding Anniversary!!!!! It has been an amazing 11 years and I am so proud to get to stand by his side. I remember the first time I met him, I was blown away. I couldn't stop thinking about him and was excited to talk to him and see him again. He has filled me with such life and adventure. He makes me stronger and more complete. He is faithful, honest, hardworking, loving and super handsome (and more).  We have created four amazing, beautiful children that have rocked our worlds. Marriage is truly and blessing and a gift.

On Thursday, we got the opportunity to go hiking to Flatiron (out in the Superstition Mountains).  One of my greatest passions, hiking!! It was wonderful to just be with him. We talked, laughed and just enjoyed every minute of our alone time together. He got me the most beautiful pendant necklace (I had lost mine running several months ago. Sad day!).  I love it and think of him every time I feel it on me.  We also went to a doctor's dinner and will go out for dinner tonight with just us.
This was the part of the hike before we started going up.
It was pretty cold. We each had four layers on.

This area is like a bowling alley. You can see the actual Flatiron lit up in the back.
This waterfall would be cool to see if there were lots of water on it.
Looking back over the valley.
Me trying to get to...
this spot. There was a super cool hole in the rock, but it is hard to see in the pictures because the shadows make everything look flat. It was actually a very steep, multi terrained area.
In this shadowy area, there was actually ice on the grass and the puddles of water were completely iced. It was pretty cool to see this out here in the desert.
This rock face looked like is was on fire.
One last picture of the sun setting. Picture totally doesn't do it justice. It was gorgeous! This hike was one of the best gifts I have ever received (time and being outdoors)!
