October 2015

October was full of Halloween, recital, awards, butterflies, donuts and Fat Cats.

Halloween flew right past our busy schedules. We did manage to get some random costumes together, but that was about it.
Kailyn the elephant, of course!
Kinley as Cinderella.
Hunter as a Star Wars guy and Alton as Batman.
We swung over to my sister's house for a little bit to say "Hi".  I love my sister and am so glad that we get to live so close together now.
Batman Alton getting ready to leave his his school parade.
It was serious business during the parade.
Random silliness compliments of Alton.

Oh, I guess we did carve our pumpkins. That was pretty fun and messy!

Not sure what Hunter was making, but glad he can finally do quite a bit of it by himself. Smiles!
I'm sure Kailyn was making an elephant somehow.
Kiley was trying to eat the pumpkins/seeds. Crazy girl!
Happy Alton. He tried to make a happy, something face. Not totally sure, but at least he was having a blast.
Like I said, not sure.
Kailyn's elephant face.

We got to go to a Halloween party at our friend's, the Baer's house, and took this lovely treat.  He wore a wig and all. It was awesome!

Hunter and Kailyn starts piano and violin lessons this past year. They got to participate in their first recital just before Halloweem.  They did wonderful and we couldn't be more proud of these two. Hunter is now able to hear a song on the piano and pick it out on his violin. Pretty cool gift!
They are in the center with their costumes on (white and grey). Their teacher, Courtney Westlake, is to the left of them.
Future musician.

Kailyn also got recognized by her teacher for Respect.  This is her principal congratulating her.

We love our Kailyn. She works so hard at everything she does.

Linley and I went on a date to the butterfly museum in Scottsdale. I sure had a cute date!
She loved it!
Had a few land on us. Linley was not too fond of them landing on her.
This was one of the biggest butterflies I have ever seen. It was actually some kind of moth, I think.
She kept begging me to take her picture in different places. Love that cheesy smile. It is totally her personality!
This looked like a butterfly Christmas tree. It was completely covered.

We also got to go on a date to the zoo. This was the Komodo Dragon area.

Feeding the ducks before running errands one morning!
This is a typical silly Hunter face.
Kailyn bought this chair at a garage sale with her own money.  The next morning went I went in to check on her, this is where she was. Looks like she bought something that she REALLY wanted. Sweet girl!
Someone (Alton) who had just lost one of his front teeth found my phone. I never know what kind of pictures I will find on my phone. Love these kids!

My Mom came to visit, so we all went to Crispy Creme Donuts. Crispy Creme gave out free donuts by bringing in a good report card. Pretty cool!
Kailyn and Alton. Thankfully we didn't spill out entire think of chocolate milk this trip to the donut shop. Smiles!
Hunter gathered everyone's doubt that to make this ultimate hat. Fun!
Watching them make the donuts.
Picture of the AZ cousins.

We went bowling at Fat Cats. Alton ended up beating all of us.
Kinley LOVED this place!
Hunter gives it a go without using the ramp. He is growing up so fast!
Steven showing them the ropes.
They were so hyper.
Alton, the winner.
They convinced us to let them play glow-in-the-dark mini golf. Cousin Ashlynn came with us.
Little miss independent. She really just played her own version of the game. Awesome!
Cute cousins. Ashlynn & Kailyn

Our friends, the Pekters, gave our family movie tickets. We have never taken them all before.
This was Kinley's first time at the real movie theatre. We took them to see Hotel Transylvania 2. She did great (especially if I kept giving her popcorn).

Little Miss Personality, Kinley.

Fun going down the slide with Hunter at Freestone park in Gilbert, AZ.
