Summer 4th of July Adventure -Day 8

Yellowstone, here we are!!!! We all had a great night sleep and were ready to explore all that there was to see & do in this great national park. We started off at Old Faithful and the surrounding geysers. We then made our way northward up the loop and passed by mud pots, more geysers, the Grand Prismatic Lake, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and finished it out with the sulphur geyser/mud volcano. Enjoy the pics!
Yummy breakfast burritos to start off our day of adventure.
Looking back at the beautiful mountains (possibly the Tetons) on our way up to Old Faithful.
Hunter tries to wait patiently for Old Faithful to blow!
She's getting ready to go.
The rest I had on video.
Where the river meets the geysers.
Boiling water popping up. So hot!
Deep blue (hot) lake.
This geyser went off right as Kailyn and I were walking by. Wow!
The is the Grand Geyser. Much more dramatic than Old Faithful.
Castle Geyser. We never actually saw this one go off, but would have been cool!
Kailyn took this picture.
Near Grand Prismatic Lake.
Walking across the bridge to the lake.
Geyser in front of the beautiful lake.
The Grand Prismatic lake. The different colors are formed from the different algae.
Awesome kids!

A little geyser of the way back to the car. Loved seeing the mountains in the background, but hard to see in the picture.

The "Grand Canyon" of Yellowstone.

Lower Falls.

Super stinky sulphur springs.
Up close and personal with a buffalo by our trail near the mud volcano.
The mud volcano!
This was like a angry dragon inside just waiting to get out. So crazy!

Even crazier, was the fact that a gigantic bull elk came just feet away from Steven as he was cooking dinner. Very cool!
Wish I would have thought quicker to get my camera out. These were the best shots we got of him.
It was a fun, full day!

And I love the picture of your family in the Teton's as well...gorgeous views and family!

Brian and I both agree that we'd love to go camping with your family multiple times once we get to AZ. :)
